Unlike most others I actually bought these blades for cutting paper and they have worked flawlessly for this purpose. The cuts need to be precise and consistent (trimming book text block edges) and so far Ive been very happy with the results. Only trimmed a couple blocks so far so jury is still out on durability. Also a couple stats as I couldnt find these in the description: 1) The metal disk is 0.3 mm thick. 2) The blade has a bevel on both sides and it appears to be around 7 degrees (hard to measure effectively).

Totally satisfied. These sell for $9.99 as singleblades so this is a great deal! Genuine Olfa!

Love the fact that these come in a little package so that I know where the blades are and when I change one I can put the used one back in the package. I usually, mark the old blade with an X with a sharpie so that I know not to use again. Its also a safe way to dispose of the blades.

I think the postage and handling charges are an add on to the blade price and there would have to be a number of blades to make ordering them feasible.

Take care with these when you are cutting fabric. I learned very quickly to retract the blade after each cut because one little tiny slip and you have a nice deep cut on your finger just from barely touching the blade. Each blade was able to cut all of the pieces for a queen size quilt with each piece being about 2 inches across.

I chose the five star rating for one reason and one alone. The price! This is the self-same blades that I have purchased in the past through retail stores such as Joanns. Per blade price through this purchase was so much less than the same retail 5-blade package, or purchased separately, that I will ALWAYS order my Olfa blades through Amazon in the future.

I received a pack of 5 in the yellow plastic container. This I needed because the original blade that came in my new Olfa cutter was not sharp. These blades do come with oil on them, and were stuck together. I had to slide each one off to use. Some were sharp and lasted pretty well; others lasted less than one short cutting session. I do not cut a lot, nor do I cut many layers together. Yes I use a self-healing mat. There is no excuse for this poor quality. Now I think I know why blades at local stores are so much more expensive.

Opened package today as Im making face masks. I put the disk downs on my fabric and noticed an odd smell. Then, as I tried to put one of the new blades into the rotary cutter, I noticed my hands were greasy and there were grease stains on my fabric. I had never noticed oil on previous blades Id bought. Theres a coating of CLEAR OIL on each of the blades. Update: Nt just a light coating, but one that drips off the blade Horrible. It is suggested I wipe off the oil, but theres no way to safely get the oil off - remember these disks are sharp, and no way to cut fabric without getting oil on your fabric. Really a huge disappointment and the company should include better instructions on how to remove oil.

Okay, these blades are expensive, but worth it. They last a lot longer than any other blade Ive tried. Ive tried many. Worth the money.
