Yes, it is compatible with 15 laptops like Dell Latitude 5500. If you need it for a bigger laptop (17+ inches), this is not for you because the laptop battery/screen weight will tip it over. Other than that, this is a great product. Height is just about perfect. It is easy to assemble/disassemble (just plug two parts into the third) and is lightweight to bring along in a laptop backpack.
