Greater than one weeki looked at a few of these online and this one i purchased because of the Sticky base. Many of them without the sticky base would work fine, BUT i feel having the ability to somewhat glue it down (So to speak) is better. If you bump the table you dont really have to work about it falling over. With the iPad Pro 12.9 in landscape it is fine, in portrait it is fine as long as it is stuck down. If it is not stuck down (Meaning the sticky protection cover is still on) it will still hold the iPad Pro 12.9 in landscape mode just fine. When in Portrait mode when you tilt it back it tends to get a little top heavy and may fall back, but if you have the sticky base stuck that goes away.
