> 3 dayThese taps act like a reaming tool instead of tapping. I tried taping three holes and out of the three, only one actually taped and with poor-quality threads. All the taps are bowed and wont cut straight threads. I had to fill weld all the holes, redrill and tap each one. These are not worth the headache created or loss of time, spend your money on a good set and save yourself headache and time.

> 3 daySo since I received the set it’s been an up and down road with OMT and Amazon. First off as you can see in the pictures the item didn’t come in a box or package and all the tap and dies were scattered. I wrote OMT and they seemed to have owned up to it and even offered to refund me without a return so I accepted. All I wanted from the beginning was a replacement but now they won’t give me either. Really disappointing. Definitely best bang for your buck but the quality of the items are very poor. For small projects it gets the job done. This the first time I have an issue with OMT but this definitely does it for me. Not even Amazon will help me. Can’t say that this will happen to everyone but just be careful when ordering these sets cause you definitely get what you pay for. OMT lost a customer with me but who am I. No one to them.

> 3 dayNot bad taps would but them on par with harbor freight. I wouldnt use them for much more than mild steel. When use them on 304 SS you get heavy resistance like you would with a dull tap. Also they are tapered taps and there ability to self center is less than my better taps. Making it easy to cut threads at a slight angle.

Greater than one weekIt sorta works. At least the #10-32 didnt work. I ran it through an alloy steel to chase some threads and after 2 passes, the screw still didnt go in easy. Ran 1 pass with another tap and it was perfect. These taps dont really loosen up after you cut your threads. Youll feel that with a good tap and unfortunately this isnt that type of kit. after 3 passes or more, you can probably force your screw in. (I Used tap magic and blew out hole with air after every pass.).

> 3 dayIve only used it once to clean up damaged threads on my trailer hitch stabilizer and the 1/2 bolt. It performed superbly. A great addition to my workbench.
