Purchased previously .These anodes did just as designed and sacrificed to protect the steel Suburban water heater tank. Great value as they lasted over a year each with continuous use with less than stellar water supply. ***AS mentioned by another reviewer Always shut off the 110 volt power , Turn the gas switch off , ,Turn the water supply off and above all depressurize the tank by either opening a faucet or lift the lever on the pressure /temp relief valve above the drain /anode. Ten gallons of possibly hot water pushing out the rod can hurt a lot . Besides the bath you will get! Refill system before heat is reapplied
