Greater than one weekI believe this tarot listing has a few iterations regarding quality and appearance. It sounds like the first versions were made poorly, but the later options have since improved. At any rate, the deck I received is of good, sturdy quality. I think this is a fantastic version of the Smith-Waite deck. Solid card stock — 350 GSM, which is quite substantial. Also a nice linen finish, like Bicycle playing cards. The original images have also been vectorized for greater clarity, which means they are less pixelated. And the card backs are a nicely subdued maroon mandala design on a tan background, rather than the “plaid” (tarotee) blue and black backs of the standard RWS, which many people dislike. Additionally, there is no copyright on the card borders, which I personally consider an improvement, as well. This deck would be an excellent first deck for a beginner’s tarot studies. It would also appeal to the professional reader, as an all-purpose “workhorse deck” that will conceivably last for years and years. ~ Tauni

> 3 dayIm LOVING the smooth shuffle to it. Texture is strong yet flexible to shuffle card one by once fast. Size just right to hold in one hand. I ONLY WISH THE BOOK WASNT TO BRIEF ON CARD DESCRIPTIONS, but worth purchase.

23-11-2024Ive been using Ryder-Wait since 1981, and though I often go to other decks, I always come back. With early decks the plastic coating would wear off and you would be shuffling paper. Later decks felt like solid pieces of plastic. This deck has a wonderful feel and texture and the images are bright and clear. For those new to Tarot, the book to help you interpret that comes with it is full color and far improved over the tiny booklet you used to get in a Ryder-Wait pack. Recommended.

> 3 dayI like the texture and design, standard size and shipped fast. Minor complaints: cut slightly off center (very minor) and the King of Swords has small red lines where you can tell it was the bottom left corner on the printer sheet.

> 3 dayI got this because I needed an original tarot deck to study because I have enjoyed doing readings with my non traditional deck, but I wanted an understanding of the original cards. I have been doing readings for friends and family and everyone has loved it. The booklet is very clear and easy to use!

> 3 dayI bought these for fun. Im a dabbler, so will play with these, not live by them. Like astrology, I see myself in every situation.... does that make me well-rounded? Regardless, Im always looking for that extra edge in all this stuff. Very intriguing.....
