I dont take my Switch anywhere but the case would work well for that. I just use it for a place to put it when not playing it. Great for whatever you want to do.

Purchased for an OLED switch and good off-brand case but would highly recommend the actual Nintendo brand ones as they come with additional plastic switch games cases which this case does not include.

i would never take my switch out of the house to play. i only play in my room even in portable mode. that said, this case is pretty good. i used to leave the switch lying around on my dresser or different places and it would collect dust. this case protects it from that, where debris could potentially get into the stick mechanism and cause drift. my sister just got a dog too, and now i dont have to worry about hair getting on my switch. all in all orzly makes a good product, just wish they made the different colors of cases a little cheaper, as i had to go with black instead of my favorite color, yellow.
