I am often torn between LifeProof and OtterBox. Each has its own pros and cons. LifeProof cases are considerably lighter, protects front and back, and is a bit more attractive. However, OtterBox will protect your investment from just about any normal drop. And, for us, that the most practical feature ... and the most likely way that our technology will be destroyed (as it has in the past). So, while this is a little on the heavy side, it is perfect for protecting your investment. And, thats all you really need!

Fits great. I think OtterBox is a great company that stands by their product.

I use OtterBox cases on all of my phones & tablets, and I make sure that my family uses them also! That way I dont have to replace the phone or tablet. However, I bought this OtterBox Defender for my Tablet, and it was just slightly off in size, and the tablet didnt fit! I couldnt return it because I was dealing with a family crisis for several weeks, and didnt realize the problem soon enough.

Great protection. Tablet has been dropped twice with zero damage. Would buy again.

I, literally, just got this today and put my tablet right into it. Let me tell you; I am incredibly hard with electronics. I will break them before I actually use them in most cases. I had an S7 active that was definitely put through the test of being a military grade phone. It did NOT pass. Otterbox has always been my go to when it comes to absolute military grade protection and when I got my tablet about three years ago, I wanted an otterbox but I couldnt afford the $80 that it was at the time. When this went on sale, I jumped at the opportunity to get one. I had a tempered screen protector for my tablet and it lasted about two years before it ever got a crack on it. My tablet had been dropped several times. So, getting this otterbox made me feel so incredibly safe with my tablet inside of it. Ive read a lot of negative reviews and saw one where it looks like this person threw their tablet BEFORE putting it into the case and trying to blame otterbox. If you have a Tab A 9.7 tablet, this will fit perfectly. I questioned it at first. But once I was able to snap everything into place, this was an absolute perfect fit. I love the face that now I can just pop this into my purse and feel safe. Please actually read which tablet this is for. Dont jump at it for the price. Do your research. If you have a Samsung Tab A 9.7 then this will fit perfectly. Dont blame the seller because you cannot figure it out. Dont blame otterbox because you didnt read. Dont get mad at anyone but yourself for your ignorance.

No complaints at all. I paid for one day shipping and it arrived on time. It fits like a glove. New box. Great sturdy Otterbox case. I dont know why it took me so long to purchase an Otterbox for my tablet. I also love the kickstand park of the case. My next device (phone or tablet) will have an Otterbox on it.
