The handles are are thick enough. No larger size offered.

I used these door pulls on a noodle board project. It really did dress up the product. This is not the finished product, but the pulls were more visible in this photo. I will purchase this again for future projects.

the clearance between the inside of the handle were not as advertised, nor was the center to center of the screw holes

The product itself was exactly what we needed. Nice design. When ordering, it was not clear what size we would receive . I would have taken any of the sizes but had chosen the 4 inch, received the 6 inch.
