> 24 hourThe Palutena figure performs all of the same basic functions as any of the amiibo used in Super Smash Bros. for 3DS / Wii U. You can customize and level up the figure as an FP or Figure Player, which is a computer player that learns and gains experience as you fight it. Theres not much else to do with the figure in terms of software (Palutena is only compatible with Smash as of this writing), but being able to customize and train your own fighting machine is a fun experience, and certainly adds some extra things to do in Smash if youre playing solo. As for the quality of the figure herself, Palutenas paint job is phenomenal. Her face looks well proportioned (no wonky eyes here!), the accessories are all coated nicely, and overall I would say that this is the nicest amiibo from the Super Smash Bros. line released yet! Not to mention the actual process of ordering was so much easier than it has been in the past.

> 24 hourIm going to say its okay as I dont really think its worth the price to be able to put the guy in a game. Just another overpriced add-on for a video game in my opinion

> 24 hourI love Yoshi. Yoshi is not the most interesting figure. Perhaps the pose could have been more action packed, (like the ground pound!) but it could have led to a lot of jokes. I like to play as Yoshi in Super Smash Bros. BUT I had completely misunderstood the functionality of Amiibos and who I play as in Smash is totally irrelevant besides personal affinity for a figurine. Regardless, I plan to get the new Yoshi games, so its all still good. Yoshi Specific Functionality ----------------------------------------------- Super Smash Bros. (SSB4) and Mario Kart 8 two games that currently connect with the Yoshi Amiibo. The upcoming Yoshis Wooly World and Mario Party 10 will probably work, too, but that is not announced. SSB4 records to the Yoshi an AI opponent that learns from fighting you. Mario Kart 8 gets you a yoshi suit for your Mii driver. General Amiibo Functionality -------------------------------------- Most Amiibos only unlock special items in games. I assume this aspect of Amiibos is the reason that a metal deflector is in the box preventing them from being used unless unpackaged. Otherwise, people could just purchase, unlock, and return. Mostly a collectible. (but doesnt function if kept in the box) Super Smash Bros. is currently the only game that lets you raise and level Amiibos. You do not play as Amiibos. They are like an AI friend stored in a figurine. I had thought that my personal performance as a character would influence my Amiibo development. Not the case. So buy Amiibos that you want to play against, not as. IF in the future multiple games can record to an Amiibo, only one game at a time can do that. (hopefully they can overcome this design in the future) Amiibo functionality requires updating. So you need to have your Wii hooked up to the WiFi. Hyrule Warriors update isnt out yet. But Mario Kart works (but with a subset of figures.)
