> 24 hourWell there are multiple uses for an amiibo other than using it for super smash. On the packaging(and on the amigo information page on the WiiU) it tells you that an amiibo will be used for different games. I also heard that they are working on tweaking it to be used for Hyrule Warriors, but Im not 200% certain. You cannot train the amiibo yourself(in super smash) its pretty much like an AI that levels up to 50 that you can customize skills, clothing color and name. In order for it to level up you must use it as your teammate(this is the only useful thing about it so far). I dont care too much for all that right now, Im using my Link as an action figure since I collect those. He is very well detailed and worth collecting.

> 24 hourShe was great, but she broke a few times. My daughter is really into amiibos but she’s five so she doesn’t totally understand their purpose and is pretty hard on them. Ours has been superglued multiple times

> 24 hourThe game diversity for ALL of these, and the lack of actual interaction with/as the amiibo is super lame. Great visual work and quality tho

> 24 hourGiven that these figures have at least two purposes, Ill strive to address both of those in this review. First off, as a figure itself- Samus is probably my favorite that theyve released so far. Mine looks crisp, clean, and exactly like you would expect a suit of cybernetic armor to look like when shrunk to miniature. Theres no articulation, but for the price of these figures I dont know why you would expect it to do much moving. All in all, figure alone is worth the price paid. Now, for the NFC portion- right now its uses are fairly limited, given that so few games are compatible with Amiibo. Because of this, Ill only be focusing on Smash Bros. Within that particular game, these are quite fun- its essentially an NPC you can bring with you into Smash matches. You can change the costume, level it up through fights, and feed it items to boost its base stats. It learns and adapts to fight beside (or against) you, and it does this very, very well. However, you cannot play as your amiibo or use it in non-smash modes, likely since it would greatly unbalance the single player experience. While disappointing, its understandable as this is supposed to be a game based on skill, not how many items do I have to eat until Im unbeatable? So, in summation- this isnt Skylanders or Disney Infinity. Youre not going to use Samus to unlock things, but Amiibo can and WILL enhance your experience and bring more to the game than has ever been present in Smash before.

> 24 hourI got this after receiving a switch and various Mario games for xmas. Pikachu is my favorite and this one is extremely cute to say the least. That said, the amiibo works great and can unlock pika in various games and can also save ingame data on this amibbo. It is a bit pricey for what it is though...
