> 24 hourWe are very happy to finally look at our slides from the 1960s and 1970s. The slide viewer is perfect for that. We havent had any problem with the ease of putting slides in and getting them out. At first the light wouldnt come on, but we figured out how to use a piece of scotch tape to make one of the inner parts more responsive to the light bar we press to make the light come on. The plastic is flimsy and probably wouldnt hold up if we dropped it, but weve looked at at least 1000 slides with it so far, and it does the job.

> 24 hourCheap plastic you press down on to view slide which will give out & not work one day (like my old one I had before) You can hardly make out what’s in the picture.

> 24 hourPut in 2 of the 4 included Kodak batteries, supposedly good until 2031. Nothing lit up. Tried the other 2 batteries. Nothing lit up. Double checked to make sure I had installed them correctly. I had. Then installed 2 AA batteries I had at home. Light! The battery compartment is very difficult to open. I was exhausted after exerting the effort to open and close it multiple times before getting any light. I feel the company should send me a new pack of working batteries. Very frustrating. Still need to check how well it works with slides inserted. Thats a project for another day!

> 24 hourWe had one before but battery leakage ruined it. Got the same model to replace it. Tip: remove the front plastic that holds the magnifying glass on an old one and you have a powerful handheld magnifying glass.

> 24 hourI was so glad to realize that this type of viewer still existed. I have a good start on sorting my slides and getting them ready to mail off to be digitized. I did order a cord from you and should get it in a few days. It will be helpful to have a couple viewers since I. Might have help from a grand daughter for a few days. I am almost 90 and am glad to have a way to have my big family able to enjoy them. It was a shame to have them packed away for so many years

> 24 hourPurchased to view several boxes of slides my father took back in the 1960s. Works beautifully. Easy to use and pass around among family and friends. Made for several happy evenings of shared nostalgia. Thanks for the memories!

> 24 hourI have been getting slides ready to send to legacy and this viewer helped tremendously!!! When I got the slides out after ordering this new Pana-Vue 2 ill. slide viewer, I found an identical Pana-Vue2 ILL. Slide Viewer in the box with the slides. I had not opened this box for 20+ years. I put batteries in this viewer and it still works well. My family and I have enjoyed looking at the slides through both viewers. I am impressed that this viewer has had such a long life. Thank you for a quality product and one which brings joy to the family in seeing slides. Shirley Noetzold

> 24 hourHad about 100 old (!) loose slides in a bag. Another family member took custody of our old viewer and lives across the country. That one was ancient - but so similar to this one! What I like better about this one is the light does NOT lock on - so it doesnt waste the batteries and bulb! I had a blast seeing slides that I had never seen before - as these never made it into a carousel for some reason - and several of them - frankly almost all - were worth seeing. Now I can decide which to take to get scanned onto a hard drive to share with other family members! I also appreciate that I came with a cleaning cloth and batteries.

> 24 hourPackaged very well. I have the model Pana-Vue 2 which cost a little more than the non-2 model but was to have extra features. The good: It works fine, the 2 AA batteries (included quality brand name 4 AA) are very easy to install just by squeezing the rear of the unit. The slide just drops in at the top as expected but if you turn it upside down it will fall out. The not so good: It was supposed to have a locking light bar but it doesnt. You have to hold the light bar down as you view. It was supposed to have a table stand, it doesnt, there is a place for something that might be a stand but no stand. So, there is some false advertising there and I would have purchased the (slightly) cheaper version if I had known how it worked. The light bar and slide are close enough you can use the same finger that inserted the slide to activate and hold down the light bar. My comments: It displays nicely and is bright enough for indoor viewing. I do wish it had a LED Vs a bulb that will eventually burn out (dont bang it around). I double checked the packaging for the missing contents but it was simply not in the package as I said it neither has locking capability. I have a few hundred slides that I want to view then I will never use it again as I dont use camera film anymore in the digital age. So yes, I can use this and dont really care about the missing stand but wanted the locking button. Just annoyed what was displayed was not what I received. I would say forget this -2 model and get the cheaper version or.... you might be luckier then me.
