Pangea Magnetic Gecko Ledge (Acrylic) Large for Reptiles and Gecko Terrarium Habitat

Overall the Ledge Works great and my Crested Geckos Love it. Ive bough 2 so far and both have had the same issue where the magnets on the ledge eventually fall off. Its an easy fix to just re-glue the magnets but it does happen. Other than that It does the job it needed to do.

Owned this ledge for about 4 months. Really liked it but recently our crested eyelash has been knocking it off because he sits on it and lifts it from the magnets. Today he did this but put his foot between the glass and the dish when he lost balance. The magnets caused the ledge to crush his foot into the glass. If I hadnt caught it in time it could have been bad. I think he is OK now and we have removed the ledge.

I bought this for my adult crested gecko in a Nat Geo glass reptile sanctuary. While this product did not list max weight supported the picture shows an adult crested so I assumed the super strong rare earth magnets would hold for my adult 40g crestie. I was wrong. He got towards the outer ledge and it dumped him unceremoniously on the ground. Fortunately for me I have a juvenile crestie in an exo-terra glass habitat that only weighs in at about 10g. It has worked well for him. Ultimately, I was not happy with the product for the money I spent, but am happy enough that I dont want to go through the process of returning it. I was going to try the more expensive one that stated how many adult geckos it could hold, but with the results from this one, I will probably look elsewhere for a solution.

This shelf would be fantastic were the magnets not RUST magnets! My son bought it for his geckos tank, but the magnets rusted out after only a little bit over a month of use. The chrome coating on the magnets started flaking within 4-5 weeks and the rust followed. I would love a full refund if possible, and will speak with the buyer about this. Where reptiles usually require a bit of mist in the tank, and one of bowls is usually used for water, I would not recommend this product Thank you.

Excellent product. Does exactly as it says on the tin. The magnets are so strong that not even the fattest gecko can knock it down. Be careful when attaching it though, as I said the magnets are VERY strong. Only thing I dont like is how well water spots show up on it, but acrylic is notorious for that.

Make sure you slide the magnets into place not just throw them on the glass do to the fact they are strong as hell, this is an excellent product what else can I say I love it!!

My two cresties love this and seem more willing to eat from this than the dish they used to use.
