This steel worked great for making a chef’s knife would definitely recommend!

the metal bends easily..cant do much but maybe make kitchen knives...never again..

Easy to work with

Bar stock does not come completely flat which depending on the application can be a real pain. I used this to make a bush craft knife and while it did the job I feel it didn’t harden as well as other 1095 I have used since. All in all it’s good stuff for a beginner knife maker, practice makes perfect!

Didn’t use for a knife blank but as a bracket to mount my recovery boards to my truck rack. Ended up being the perfect size and since manufactured mounts start at $125.00 these fit the bill nicely.

this steel is exactly what I wanted. It is ready to make knives and it is strong and yet flexible. Great value.

Exactly what they say it is high carbon , did spark test with great results its American made great quality, would definitely recommend this steel, also its annealed and ready to heat or cut

Good steel for beginners

Could be 15 or 16 inches. Good material for forging knives.
