What to say they are filters that I needed and delivered to my door.

Seller MonsterPets is selling knock offs as Penn Plax brand for the same price. On the left is the one I bought previously direct from Amazon, on the right is what I received from MonsterPets. The graphics on the box are out of focus, the filters are roughly the same outer dimensions but the side notches are slightly different, and the real ones are super soft while the fakes are stiff and feel like Brillo pads. Sending them back.

Great filtration for the 45 gallon plant tank. Be careful how you setup the return if utilizing a smaller rated tank. I killed one of the glow Tetras, I am contemplating a murder mystery on the the other one. The compartments are great for introducing supplements like peat, carbon, bio life bags and ceramic. Easy to clean no mess if you are organized. And it is quiet down below behind the cheap press board very satisfied purchase

The filter pads have just the right density to keep your water clear and are a lot less messy than trying to improvise using polyester pillow filling or other materials that some users have referenced online. They are also a reasonable value because you only change them about every 2-3 months.
