This tape is very slightly thinner than the 3M / Scotch equivalent, but it seems to be more durable / less prone to unwanted tearing and the adhesive seems to be better quality.

As good as Scotch brand

I worked in a warehouse for years and I therefore have somewhat discriminating taste in packing tape. This stuff is a little thin but performs very well. It does not tear accidentally. After moving the contents of a house, the tape did not fail on a single box. It does what it is supposed to. I cannot say how it holds up over time, like if you pick up a box 5 years after you have sealed it. But for short term at least, this is great tape.

Nice being able to buy in bulk

I dont understand how this tape has good reviews. I bought instead of buying the 3m tape but I regret it because overnight it lifts off my shipping boxes. Maybe if youre not shipping with it. Itll be fine but I do not recommend it if you do online orders.

Price was great and it was listed as Amazons choice. Ive had issues with it not sticking - mostly a problem with recycled boxes, but has also shred (tears in length not width) sometimes.

I ship a TON of packages and go through a lot of tape. This tape is a little thin and doesnt always stay stuck down the first time, but overall it does good enough for the price. Id buy it again based on the price alone.
