We are first time parents and ordered a ton of baby things all at once. I got this thinking it would be super helpful. However, a rain shield comes with the uppa baby vista v2 I got through Amazon anyways! Make sure you need this before you potentially buy a duplicate.

I like it to have a perfect fit unlike those universal ones that have some extra materials hanging out.

This is easy to put on the stroller and easy to for me to get my son in and out of the stroller. It does gap on the sides though so it only works in rain that is falling straight down. If the rain angles at all, precipitation gets inside and fogs it up. This also doesnt help protect from wind, if you live in a cold climate. I was hoping this would help now that winter weather has hit, but after two days in the 30s, Ive purchased another cover from a different brand that is going to be windproof.

I never had the original rain shield that comes with the Uppababy stroller so I can’t compare the two but since we live in Seattle, I figured I’d be getting my money’s worth out of using the performance rain shield. So far, it has served its purpose of blocking rain/wind from baby. Fits nicely over the toddler seat even with my ganoosh installed and can even be folded down with it still attached which is convenient for us. The best thing I think about it is the zipper access so that you don’t have to take the entire cover off in order to get babe in/out though. There are two Velcro straps that secure it to the seat on the sides for those windy days, but I do think the manufacturer should consider having an additional attachment somewhere near the foot of the seat too. Note that the shield can only properly work if the canopy is fully extended out. Also note that the top will be fully covered so if anyone cares about fashion, no one will see the color of your stroller. Was not a factor for us but figured it might be for some. Overall, happy with our purchase and would recommend it for anyone living in wet/windy climates.

I bought this because with covid I feel like this will provide my baby with some extra safety and of course it protects from the rain. It has air holes on the side that are small. I like when its windy it also blocks the wind the price is up there but its worth it. Something negative is when its hot you probably shouldnt use it, it gets to hot inside for baby despite the air holes. But I will just purchase a little fan

Very easy to install and store when not in use. Good coverage for baby. We spent the weekend walking and exploring DC in A CONSTANT DOWNPOUR. And our 1 yr old and he blanket stayed dry. Would have been a miserable trip without this product. Getting this made to fit rain cover is much better than the “universal” fit types

So far I’ve only used it twice but it’s pretty straight forward to put on and take a off.

The plastic is a bit thin. Need to be careful when toddler getting in and out under the covering.
