> 3 dayI have a previous version, which I wasnt crazy about, but I like it better than Photo Explosion 5. The manual is verry vague, e.g., When the photo is open in Edit mode, click the Close button on the right to no longer have it as the active editing image. I have checked every, right I never found it. That is only one example, but it pretty much is the same throughout. Definitely NOT worth the money.

> 3 dayThis software was slow and had many gliches. I returned it after trying it out and went back to my Greeting Card software which has many of the same features and works well.

> 3 dayWhen Nova Development sold their excellent PhotoImpact Pro software to Corel for them to disassemble & trash, I started waiting for Nova to come up with another photo-editing program to take its place. Well, Photo Explosion Deluxe doesnt even come near to Impact Pros quality, but its still a great program for changing, fixing, & improving your library of pictures. It has a super-easy to use interface with a very low learning curve. Youll be surprising your friends and impressing your relatives with all the fun, cool things you can do to your photographs. Its not a feature-rich editor, but it supplies enough variety to accomplish most tasks in minimal time. I miss having a built-in ruler to help with some projects, and having some preset sizes in inches for new, blank canvases would have been nice. However, I got the program at only $20, so its a major bargain at that price! My only worry is how long itll be before Nova gives up on Photo Explosion and sells it out to Corel. Its hard to trust a company that does not value their customers. With all that said, I still recommend Photo Explosion Deluxe for the novice & experienced editors alike. Its a great alternative to bulky, over-blown editing software, plus it doesnt kill your savings account.

> 3 dayA sad degrade of previously awesome software. Clunky, fewer features, less versatile. Most importantly, it doesnt access TPX files created in earlier versions of Photo Explosion so your old work is not available to you via this software. Even before arriving at this review page, I suspected that this software had been sold to a lesser entity and that guess was confirmed. Too bad. I loved the original version. I had success with its filters such as shadows and light but even those were downgraded and clunky.
