07-06-2025I have used this product quite often and if you know how to use the bracketed process on your camera this product will simply blow you away with the results... I have sold many pictures from this process and nearly all that look at my work think the picture is a watercolor picture!

> 3 dayI have begun teaching HDR photography in my photography classes. Needless to say, we use Photomatix Pro in that class. Although there are other useful software products, Photomatix Pro is by far the most comprehensive. It allows you to make many interpretations of the same set of exposures. You can go from realistic, to super realistic, to over the top with the same set of origingal captures. Granted, it is a little intimidating the first few times you encounter the Detail Enhancer interface (to say the least!), but with a little practice it quickly becomes familiar. You will need to post process most of the images you create in an image editing program to achieve optimal results. But this is also a way to make addition interpretations of your image because of the great amount of detail in images made with HDR techniques. I highly recommend this product!

Greater than one weekPhotomatix Pro is a widely used and respected program. But before investing in it, you might wish to consider a mixed strategy: Buy only the lite version, Photomatix Essentials, which is available on the Photomatix web site. Then, with the money you save, buy another well regarded program such as Topaz Adjust to generate the artistic effects associated with HDR. The total cost will be slightly less than that of Photomatix Pro alone.

> 3 dayMakes photos POP. Very simple (yet lots of power). Free effortless and seamless upgrade to Photomatix Pro5. People think I have a $1,000 camera when I only have a point & shoot cheapo digital camera. The only downside (if you can call it a downside) is that the GUI is not glitzy, just very basic, but that makes the photos look even better.

> 3 dayAs a professional photographer who travels a lot, I have a chance to see some of most beautiful places on this amazing planet of ours. Inevitably, some of the photos I take I like to print in large format and frame (as every other photographer, Im sometimes vain too :) ). The best compliment I could give to some of these places is to process them in HDR and print them on metallic paper and thats where Photomatix Pro comes in play. Ive been using version 4 for quite some time, mostly in trial version but in all truth, investing $99 in buying a full version (5 is out already) is a bargain.

> 3 dayVery easy to figure out, and a very powerful tool in HDR photos. I have only had for a couple weeks now and absolutely love what I am able to do, not only with bracketed photos but also with just a single photo. I did however order a book as I do believe there is so much more that can be done with this program that I am unaware of.
