Compared to similar boxes you can buy at IKEA, I felt like these were a bit pricy however these are sturdier & better quality. Due to space restrictions, I have 6 of these (3 sets of 2 stacked) underneath a low buffet cabinet in my dining room and they look beautiful! I was worried it would detract from the design of the formal space but since they are muted colors in a matte finish they just make the area look organized and well, lived in. I use them to hold my craft supplies and kids school workbooks. Of the 6 (which I have all bought through Amazon at different times) only 1 has split a corner on the lid and I think I was probably a bit rough with it. They are shallow but long and I have quite a bit stuffed inside of them. Very happy with this purchase!
