I was using a Plantronics headset plugged directly into my Cisco phone on my desktop. I found that I was using soft-phone functionality on my computer instead and needed a headset to plug into my USB port. My first gut reaction was that I needed to buy a completely new USB based headset. When I found this, I realized that I could remove the Cisco adapter on the end of my Plantronics headset and replace it with this USB adapter.

Solved half of my phone issues.... Now I need soft phone software for VMware. Excellent solution
