> 3 dayIve been a fan of PNY for years and this 1TB SSD was at a great price and worth getting. This is the 2280 size, which is the longest, so do make sure you have the space for it if youre putting it in a laptop or enclosure. Mine sits in an enclosure and does backups for me. Great price point on a solid drive.

> 3 dayProduct purchased to install in spare m.2 slot in my laptop. Windows disk manager made quick work of initializing and formatting the drive. 2TB is nice additional storage for games, music, photos, and videos. No screw was provided to secure the SSD in the slot is the reason for the 4 stars. I had to find one inside the chassis and then remove the unused SSD bracket I took it out of so it wasnt loose. Make sure youre comfortable pulling the necessary cover off your laptop to install it. Thirteen tiny screws and a credit card were required to remove the entire bottom of my laptop. Warranty likely voided. Oh well.

> 3 dayAdded to my Acer Nitro5 laptop for game storage. When I moved my Steam library from the current SSD to this one, it was absolutely shocking. I should have benchmarked it, but I have literally never seen data move that fast, this is the fastest storage deice I have ever owned. Ive had it for about a year now I think, and its flawless.

> 3 dayI got this as an external drive for my son at college. I dropped it into an enclosure and initialized it. It quickly showed up in my list drives. Small form factor is great for tossing in his backback for classes and labs.

> 3 dayWhen I first installed the SSD, the sequential write speeds did reach up to 3000MB/s. Now that it is nearly full (88%) the sequential write speed has fallen to ~1000MB/s. I used to have the Samsung 970EVO 500GB and that drive was fast but I was struggling with the capacity as you can tell since I have already used up 88% of 2TiB. The performance difference to me is not perceivable so I would take the 2TiB capacity over the fast and consistent speeds. (1000MB/s sequential write is still good enough for me). I dont do any photo/video editing or any I/O heavy tasks, only use the drive for my OS, games, web browsing/e-mails, discord, etc. Using the Final Fantasy XIV Shadowbringers Benchmark, my average total load times were about 14.5 seconds which is extremely good considering that my friend who has a 1TiB Samsung 980 Pro has total load times of about 11.5 seconds. If the price difference isnt too much, probably go for the XLR8 or CS3030 drive instead for the consistent write speeds. Im assuming that drive will perform better as it fills up (they have the same specs at 2TiB). All in all, I am satisfied with my purchase
