> 24 hourThe higher grits dont appear to be silicon carbide they look and feel the same as the aluminum oxide ones I ordered first and werent working for me which is disappointing because thats not what I wanted and thats not what is advertised. They seem to wear out a little quick but I am sanding on agates which are fairly hard so that could be why. They do cut fast and smooth and I thought I was ordering 40-10000 like the other ones I ordered. Ill be trying to find some that are all silicon carbide because I dont think anything past 2000 is silicon carbide. Im disappointed I may go back to ceramic abrasive instead. I gave 3 stars because the lower grits 400-1500 worked fairly well they just wear out faster than Id like even when using water

> 24 hourThese 3 disc are great for headlight restoration and smoothing out orange peel in paint surfaces. Velcro holds very well and is easy to install and remove. Will definitely buy again.

> 24 hourI needed better and more fine grit paper to polish rocks after I collect them. I use a Ryobi 3 cordless polisher/sander and theses pads are perfect so far. Each pad gets pretty great life. The set came with more then expected accessories like the foam buffers to reduce heat and work the corners. Over all I give it 5 stars easy and I absolutely recommend this product especially if you are a fellow rock hound looking to making some of the treasures we find shine. That way the world can see it how we do

> 24 hourI was excited to find something inexpensive to place on my drill to avoid having to pay 500 to 3000 dollars for a cabbing machine for my rockhounding hobby. Silicon Carbide is supposed to have a MOHS hardness of 9. I was standing sunstone 400 grit. I tried wet and i tried dry. In both cases the sand paper lost its ability after 30 seconds. So to me this product is either poorly made, or not really Silicon Carbide. I ended up having to use my sand paper meant for my orbital sander. But I need to buy a finer grit. I think that my orbital sandpaper is made of Aluminum Oxide. Just to note my sunstone was already smooth. I have a lack of confidence that the other grits are what they claim to be on the back. Chalcedony MOHS 7 (Jasper, Agate), Quartz MOHS 7, Topaz MOHS 8, Labradorite MOHS up to 7.2 (moonstone, sunstone), Peridot MOHS 7, Garnet MOHS 7.5 to 8.5, Opal at best is 6.5 MOHS. Maybe others have had better experiences, mine was a disappointment. I left 3 stars, 1 for price, 2 for adapter for drill, and the 3rd star because the sandpaper can still be used for wood and other soft material(plastic). I didnt leave 5 stars because of possible false advertising, and the 4th star is gone because of poor quality in my opinion.

> 24 hourIm getting my 1976 Alfa Romeo Spider ready for a re-paint. These small disks are just the thing for the small-area curves and spots on the car. Im always cautious about new sand papers - because a bad grit can make nasty marks!!! These disks have a nice felt backing that latches nicely onto the hooks of the sander face - and stays on at high RPMs. Price seems OK for these, IMO.
