> 24 hourThe Cackbird 60% keyboard is an incredible value. At $25, it performs better than many other keyboards Ive used at higher prices - this is pretty shocking how good it is, I anticipated something much lower quality. Lets get into some details. The build quality of the board is great. It is plastic but even trying to apply some pressure it doesnt flex. The keys are ultra stable - all stabilizer keys are great, from space to backspace to shift. The keys feel better than a board I purchased for $100 a few weeks ago - not naming and shaming, but the keycaps on the Cackbird are fantastic. They feel like PBT with a mild texture to them, and dont appear to get thumbprints all over the keys. The version I am using has the blue mechanical switches. I tried some gaming as well as typing. The blue switches put this as a mix of gaming/office type of usage. Theyre very tactile and tight, its easy to type on the board. Game response rate is fine, I noticed no difference from other boards. Overall I like the blue switches. My complaints are that the kickstands to raise the board dont go quite high enough for my taste, and the USB-C connector is on the side of the board, not the back. Overall, I think this is a fantastic value considering the price. Ive tried other low price - low end keyboards, and this board goes above and beyond in regards to quality comparing the price point. If youre looking for a solid board but want a solid value as well, the Cackbird 60% is a fantastic choice.

> 24 hourI bought this with the intention of modding it and experimenting with my first mechanical keyboard. Oh man, just buy a better keyboard or brace yourself for everything on this. Invest in hotswap. The clicky switches in here couldnt be frankensteined with my other switches. Theyre some kind of non-standard weirdness. The keycaps are terribly brittle. I have been messing with this for a little over three months and 6 of my keycaps have broken apart on the inside (more soon to break). The plastic is brittle. Been fun though.

> 24 hourLet me address the only downside of this keyboard immediately: yes, there is a distinct (and to a large extent, intentional) clickety-clack sound the keyboard makes when keys are depressed. It takes a bit of getting used to, and if you work in an environment with other people within earshot, it could disturb them. So if thats a problem, dont buy this keyboard. Otherwise, it is excellent. First of all, it worked perfectly out of the box, unlike the first 60% keyboard I tried. Secondly, the all-important arrow keys are intelligently and ergonomically arranged. The function key that you need to press to access the arrow functionality is right next to the arrow keys making it convenient to hit with your pinky while using the other fingers to arrow around, OR, they can be locked into the arrow function if you prefer. Most importantly, the up arrow is directly above the down arrow, as opposed to using the W-A-S-D keys as arrow keys as many of these keyboards do, where the W for up is a bit to the left of the S for down, which I find super annoying. Back to the keys themselves: as an old-school touch typist, the key feel is the closest Ive ever found to the classic IBM Selectric typewriter, and there is an intentional clicking sound each key makes when it is pressed. This click occurs exactly when the key is depressed to the point of activation, and is meant to give audible feedback. If youve ever fumbled a keystroke and not been sure if you hit it or not, with this keyboard you can tell by the click. So I really like this keyboard, recognizing that its a bit idiosyncratic and it may not be for everyone. But it is well designed and good quality, and saves me a lot of desktop space, so I gave it five stars.

> 24 hourThe gaming keyboard is good but the only down side is it’s mainly plastic. I could easily snap it in half but overall it’s a good keyboard.
