Greater than one weekPurchased this powerful cooling fan at the right time just before the heat wave hit NYC. My children were sleeping comfortably with it on, no crazy noise like window AC.

Greater than one weekIt’s relatively quiet. Lights are ok. Mist feature does not work well…just forms water droplets on the inside of the fan. Ice does last very long in the tank..could use some insulation or something. It blows air, just not very cool. We used it in a pickup truck that doesn’t have AC. Nice feature is that it is 12volt so works in the truck.

> 3 dayIm absolutely in love with this portable evaporative air cooler! Its incredibly lightweight and has a handle on the top, which makes it easy to move from room to room. Its also very easy to set up and use - I simply fill up the water tank, plug it in, and turn it on! What I love most about this air cooler is how effective it is at cooling down my living room. Within just a few minutes of turning it on, I can feel the temperature start to drop.

> 3 dayThe fan is very weak and it barely blows a mist, even when I use ice water. It is also very small. My small basic desk fan works better than this.

> 3 dayI didn’t like anything about it. Possibly I was expecting too much. Even on the top speed it does not cool; a very fine mist creeps out. Possibly if you had it a few inches from your face it might help. I am returning it.

> 3 dayHow much cooling you get depends on how much water is evaporated in a certain period of time. There are cheaper misting fans that will evaporate more water in the same period of time. This one sprayed out 113g (4 oz) of water in an hour. Its not great, but 4x more water than another similar fan I tested. Its certainly not an air conditioner! Its not really an evaporative cooler either, because it doesnt pump water over a filter or a matrix that lets it evaporate. Its just a fan that blows air out the front with or without mist being injected into that airstream. A true evaporative cooler will stop putting moisture in the air when the humidity gets to a certain point, misting fans will simply create a water puddle in front if the room gets too humid.

> 3 dayActually cools quite well. The fan is reasonably powerful and quiet too, so its useful without the evaporative cooling. It is small so it obviously wont cool an entire room but if you just want some cool air by the bed it works. One thing to note is that areas of the fan that water is exposed to arent always easily accessible, so you wont be able to clean everything. Id make sure to dry it out, opening the top and letting the fan run for some time **after** draining the water so it dries out after use. This will prevent mold growth.
