Original PRELL shampoo was sold in bottles, or in plastic tubes as PRELL Concentrate. Both were great at getting dirty/oily hair clean, the tubes were good (pre TSA) for travel. Both originals had a strong scent. The newest formula keeps the excellent cleaning capabilities of the original. The scent is similar to original, but thankfully it’s not as strong.

Very hard to find in local stores. I have no idea why its advertised on tv yet impossible to find unless you get it here on amazon. Thank you, sellers! Best shampoo ever. Husband thought he had dandruff for years when in fact it was different shampoos leaving flaky residue. Prell does NOT do that at all! So, if you think you have dandruff (he even used the name brand dandruff shampoo), try Prell because it does not leave flaky specs on your clothes. It rinses clean. Husband has used it for 15 years now and refuses to use anything else.

I simply love this Shampoo. It cleans my scalp very well and the hair looks so healthy after taking bath. But dont forget to apply conditioner after shampoo.

I havent used Prell since I was a kid in the 70s! I was surprised to learn they still make it. So of course I was immediately online looking to order it. It arrived with one out of 3 of the bottles damaged. ☹️ Not even sure how that could have happened because it was in shrink wrap with other 2 bottles and they were absolutely fine. Who knows. Anyway, the damaged bottle only leaked a little, it still had a full bottle of shampoo, so didnt even bother to complain to Amazon. I just used that one first. The smell!!! Its exactly how I remember it! Its wonderful. Its such a nice clean scent without being overly perfumey, and its not overwhelming on your hair afterwards either. It didnt dry out my hair, left it feeling squeaky clean and smelling great. Happy customer here. Its so nice to be able to go back and experience Prell again. Really happy I ordered it! P.S. I ordered this because I was told it can be used as a clarifying shampoo, so please keep this in mind in case you dont want that. I found it to be very effective and love the gentle scent it left behind on my hair. I alternate between using Prell with purple shampoo now and its working out great for my hair.

Prell is an excellent shampoo. Been using it for 70 years!! Hard to find in retail stores, but thanks to Amazon I am back in business. Thank you.

Actually I do not know what sheerness and thickness means. But this shampoo is an old reliable.....since I was a kid and I am in my 80s. Look. The hair products aisle in my area is crammed with complexity. This stuff is simple. You get in the shower, wet your hair and put it on., Rub it around and that is it. Then rinse. You can do it twice if you want. I have thin hair so once is enough. And I do like the smell. It is sort of a no bs smell......this shampoo is here to work and not be some kind of world wonder.
