we have one clipped in all rooms that we permit smoking. The premium ones last a long time. The style without the carabiner dont last as long, as they tend to be in a fixed position, so the clip doesnt swivel, and if not pulled straight, the string rubs against the case over and over, eventually the string snaps. This style swivels and moves with the pull. Well worth the cost. holds all standard type lighters. Flat, oval, whatever. Some of mine have been clipped in place for years and still used regularly.

My family members are always losing their lighter! This was a gift for 5 people in one purchase, I definitely should’ve bought another. everyone wanted one.
