Presto 09978 Regulator, Pack of 1, Black

The Presto 09978 Regulator was bought to replace the old one which had deteriorated at the bottom.. It fit my cooker perfectly without any issues and it even fits my smaller cooker also.. I will purchase again in the future if needed.I took a photo of the bottom of my cooker to show the model number for anyone who may have the same cooker and may be wondering if the regulator may work with it.. The range of models the regulator is compatible with is listed however..

Thank you Amazon for carrying this regulator. I have had my Presto pressure cooker for years and it works perfectly and I really did not want to replace it. I lost the regulator when I took my pressure cooker over to a family member home to cook for a party. I cannot thank you enough for having this available to purchase.

After moving my regulator for my larger pressure canner was not found. I was impressed finding the correct replacement. Canning fresh foods for future meals is a way to preserve the great farm fresh flavors. Thanks for selling made in the USA products.

If you dont have an extra on hand you KNOW that the one you have will vanish just when you have a pot full of something ready to go. GREAT investment in peace of mind.

My t-fal Sensor-2 broke at its pressure regulator after many years of service. I must have replaced it at least 2-3 times till date. T-fal stopped manufacturing this spare part. The cooker is in almost new condition made of stainless steel. I could not throw it away just because they stopped a plastic spare part. Then I thought of this idea. I removed the remaining intact assembly and replaced it with a presto pressure pipe on the small hole located on one side of the cooker lid. I then brought this weight (maintains 15 psi) and the result! SAVED A 10yr old almost new looking cooker. It cooked better that original t-fal cooker. Frankenstein won! We call it Frankenstein cooker!
