Prismacolor Premier Graphite Drawing Pencils with Erasers & Sharpeners, 18-Piece Set

I got a full set but it was missing a pencil in the lineup. Not sure why but from what I understand this is something Prisma does with all their sketch sets? At any rate the pencils you have are pretty nice, and you get most of what you need to produce good work. The case is nice and sturdy and I would think this would be good for the beginner, art student etc.

I decided to buy these pencils along with a new sketchbook I bought (Strathmore brand) and these are honestly very nice. I don’t often use graphite pencils like this and often opt for using regular mechanical pencils you use for non-art purposes. These are so much better feeling, though. I definitely recommend it! The erasers are extremely good too! 10/10 from me

I bought for my daughter for art class at school. She really likes them and I could easily see the contrast in her work. Nice.

Have not had a chance to use these pencils but the 2H was not in the kit. Instead, there were 2 4H pencils. The container and description clearly say there is a 2H. This is my first artist pencil kit and I would like to have the variety of pencils that that were advertised.

I have bought this before, so I wasnt disappointed.

Mostly it was fine but the rock of a kneadable eraser was a disappointment.

Good for beginners at a beginners price. Nice assortment of blacks and hardnesses. The full graphites are coated so you dont get it all over your hands. Good sharpener. Good erasers. Emery works well. The tin keeps it all tidy and easily fits in a book bag or backpack. Hang-ups: I would have been happier without the water soluables and happier with one more full graphite in 2B or 9B and a regular HB and 4B, but thats just after learning what the set can do for me. Overall good beginner set for graphite drawings at a reasonable price.

The eraser somehow burned through the plastic and left a whole and a damaged magic rub eraser. I tested out the water soluble graphite and I want to do some more practice with them but I think they’re great. The other doodle is with the woodless graphite.

These are my favorite pencils to use when rendering portraits. I actually already have several of each pencil but they are so nice to work with I couldnt pass up this buy at such a great price. It had every pencil I would normally buy but I saved a ton buying the set. The turquoise pencils are very smooth and blend amazingly together, whereas some other brands can get grainy or overly shiny. I definitely recommend this product to anyone that loves drawing in pencil. (Its a good idea, however, to have your own sharpener because the little one in the kit is a basic sharpener and is only really good for a backup plan...not comfortable to use at all, but it will come in handy if you cant find another sharpener.)
