> 3 dayDoes all I want it to do. openvpn lets encrypt hardware encryption. Runs very warm but it seems to be no big deal. If it bothers you slap a cheap quiet fan on top of the heat sink and call it a day. Will run cool in my experience. Your mileage may vary.

> 3 dayI have pfsense installed and been using it as my Primary Firewall/Router for the past 3 year. It has been great, I did mess up the configuration 1 time which gave me headache for half a day. Luckily i had backup of my previous configuration so it was just a matter of pfsense reinstallation and restoring the back up.

> 3 day*** Recommendation for international purchasers - if you want this unit, dont purchase the mSATA as its an unknown brand (PHISON) - rather purchase a trusted brand from a local vendor with warranty. We suspect the mSATA failed. The memory supplied has Samsung modules, these are known to be reliable. ***

> 3 dayIve taken this and installed Sophos UTM 9.6 on it and I expect it will be my firewall (no matter the OS or version) for a very long time (I got it with 8GB ram and 32GB msata)! I bought it to replace a virtual Sophos as well as actual Sophos firewall appliance. This thing is tiny, very standard Intel hardware, silent and works great! Would definitely recommend!

> 3 dayBeen running PF sense a year+ with no issues. The device looks very professional and has adequate specs for a good PF Sense firewall.

> 3 dayMy work relies on pFsense (firewall/router) and I had a SG-2440 (2 core Atom C2358) go belly up after five (5) years, it wasnt the netgate products fault, e.g. Intels Atom C2000 processor family has a fault that effectively bricks devices, costing the company a significant amount of money to correct e.g. Errata note AVR.54, titled System May Experience Inability to Boot or May Cease Operation,

> 3 dayGot this to protect a 1U server in colo. 100Mbps symmetrical on the WAN and a few VLANs to route. CPU performance is OK for the wattage but cant touch a bigger box for VPN or IDS/IPS performance. Its perfect for what I need though.

> 3 dayIts more expensive than other hand warmers on the market but it works reliably! Plug-and-warm. I think it even has others features I dont use.
