I have dark brown hair that I recently lightened to a medium brown color. I wanted something subtle and this did the trick. It doesn’t seem to be a velvet color in some lighting and more like a burgundy, but I like it either way!

Going purple has been my favorite mood-lifter and fashion accessory (besides my Pair Eyewear glasses)! This is a gorgeous shade, and with assistance and direction from my amazing hairstylist, I have been able to make this color last and last. So easy to apply myself, and smells amazing. The best purple out there.

I like my hair to be PURPLE. I have tried so many variations of purples and violets and different brands and always left a little unhappy with the color. This is the best in my opinion!

At first I loved Pulp Riot. I liked that I didnt have to custom blend the colors to get darker shades. But the fact is... it fades SUPER fast. I only wash my hair about 2x a week or less. I wash it with cold water. I keep it healthy and conditioned. But in order to keep it vivid I have to re-apply the color every 3 weeks! Thatz 6 washes. But the main thing is that it is REALLY drying my hair out. I use Olaplex #2 for treatments on my hair to keep it healhty, and and Living Proof Restore Hair Mask each week, I even hydrate my hair when I was it with sulfite free Pureology Shampoo. I mean, I go all out. But compared to the Parvana Vivids I was using before I can see a VERY big difference in how hydrated my hair is. And this is the only thing thats changed. So I am going back to Parvana. I preferred the Pulp Riot because it doesnt have the same issues with bleeding on my pillow cases, etc. But whether it is the product itself or the frequency I have to apply it to keep it vivid... this stuff isnt working for me.

The smell is amazing! I freshened my daughters purple at home with an at home kit of bowl, brushes, cape, shower cap, etc. We left it on for the full 40 minutes and it turned out so good. Her hair was bleached by a professional the first time and she had the PulpRiot applied by the hair dresser. After watching I felt confident I could do it myself. Definitely paint small sections and saturate each one fully with dye.

A semi-permanent color that is easy to apply, vibrant, lasts longer and fades to original tone. Pulp Riot uses only the highest quality vegan ingredients chosen for their reparative and restoring properties to maintain and improve the integrity of compromised hair. With each application hair is healthier allowing the hair to hold color longer. To maximize longevity of color, only shampoo hair as often as necessary and use color-safe shampoo and conditioner. Avoid saturation of hair in chlorine and direct exposure of hair to sunlight to the extent possible. Directions: Shampoo hair but do not condition prior to application. If pre-lightening hair, completely shampoo out bleach or toner. Do not mix the haircolor with developer. Apply directly from tube to dry hair. Saturation is key. Working with 1/2 inch sections makes saturation easy. Leave on hair for 25 to 40 minutes without heat, or longer if desired. Rinse thoroughly with cool water. Do not shampoo. To maximize longevity of color, only shampoo hair as often as necessary and use color-safe shampoo and conditioner.
