Pure Talc Powder Quart

Cant address longevity as I havent had it very long. No scent and goes on correctly.

Smokers can still buy their cigarettes, and Im guessing that modern tobacco products are even more carcinogenic than talcum powder. What I especially hate is products that say TALC in big letters on the front, and you have to read the fine-print ingredients to know theyre entirely cornstarch. (How can they do this, when soy and almond beverages are not allowed to use the word milk on their containers? And WHY, when the absence of real talc is touted as a selling point?) Cornstarch is great stuff, in its place. If I were a parent, Id certainly want cornstarch-powder for my babys behind. Babies behinds need changing so often that cornstarch powder probably works just fine for them. But I want a powder that will keep things dry between my toes for twelve to twenty-four hours at a time and, sorry, cornstarch substitute JUST DOESNT WORK! And who do I sue if my athletes foot comes back because I cant get real talcum powder any longer? Yes, I know that athletes foot isnt in the same category as cancer, but Im almost 80 and have never been diagnosed with cancer, while I have been diagnosed, in teen-age, with athletes foot and have used talcum powder every night of my life since to keep it away. Nor do I make a habit of sniffing my toes. I dont like being forced to go to talcum labeled not for personal use, even though this is good, fine, real talcum powder and just the stuff that folks like me need to have. Up until a very few years ago, I could get 14 oz. of it for under two dollars, so it seems jolting to have to pay almost twenty dollars for about the equivalent of two 14-oz. containers; but at least I dont use it up that fast. And, as I say, this product really is good, old-fashioned talcum powder.

I ordered a body powder Ive used in the past, hoping it would still be talc. It was not. It is now cornstarch. No thank you. I put this product in my monkey bottle...and now I have a sprinkle-top container with an ingredient that works. Thank you!

Needed this to assemble a steel frame swimming pool, as it makes it much easier to slide the poles into the vinyl liner. It worked great, I only used a total of maybe a quarter of a cup. But since talcum powder is no longer available except in completely adulterated forms, all kinds of stuff added to it, which is not good for why I needed it, this was the only thing to buy. I realize its sold in such a large container because of what this is normally used for, but now I still have nearly a pound left. Ill just keep it safe and dry so I can use it again next summer when we take the pool out of winter storage and set it up again.

We learned that if you pour a line of talcum powder from side to side outside your doorway, ants wont cross the line, much less come anywhere near it!
