QDB33 Argon Inert Gas Regulator to Hose Quick Connect/Connector Disconnect Set, Western Enterprise

Great addition to the mobile tig rig

I have these on all my hoses, welders and regulators, they are the best. I can daisy chain hoses easily if I need more length, setup and tear down is quick on site. I’m a big fan.

I do mobile welding and I use it to hook my regulator to my tig torch and all you need is an adapter

I purchased two of these Western Enterprises QDB33 quick disconnect units and received them 9/2/21. Yup, they have a very nice, smooth connect and disconnect function, but I really require the reverse-flow check valve function that both Western Enterprises site and this product posting both indicate that this unit possesses. That is the main reason I purchase these. I have an Argon tank and a C25 tank connected to a valved-Y to supply my GMAW (mig) machine. Sometimes I want less CO2 in my gas, so I turn my Argon tank on with the appropriate flow rate to mix to approximately 95% Ar and 5% CO2. In the past, I suspected that my tank regulators were allowing the the lower-pressure tank to allow ingress of some of the gas of the higher-pressure tank when both Y-valves were opened due to the regulators not being adequate check valves themselves. This is the main reason of needing these check valve / quick dis-connectors. A big disappointment due to no check-valve in these units.

I purchased 10 pairs of these quick connects for my mobile welding business. Installed them on tig torches, wire feeders, hoses etc to speed up the process of setup and break down on a daily basis. These things arent cheap by any means and for the price I expect quality. They look and feel great. The main problem I have with them is that the male and female dont connect to each other very good which is the most important aspect of this product. I have had days where Ive literally spent 5 minutes pushing the male into the female over and over messing with it in various ways trying to get it to lock in place. Very frustrating to do all that and end up taking a wrench, taking both fittings off and making my hose to feeder/Torch connections the old fashioned way. Makes me feel like an idiot in front of my customers who are paying me good money to be there from the minute I arrive. Some of the connectors work better than others but all in all Im disappointed in the quality of this product. Adapting over to a regular air fitting would be a better and cheaper solution.

This is great for welders in the field so they can roll up there gear a lot quicker an easy after a small job.

Love them , this is a nice addition to my welding set up easy to install Soopers temple to switch gases. The only downside and it’s just for my situation they are kind of long and I don’t have a whole Lotta room to work with

This connector does not have a check valve as described. I wasn’t able to use it. The connectors were incompatible with my regulator. Thankfully I was able to send it back
