Its a good 1000Base-T transceiver that does exactly what it needs to. Feels well made, the latch works like it should. It arrived in a protective plastic shell. It works just as well as the 10GTek, 6COM, and Handar transceivers I have. Connects to the SFP port snugly with a good tactile click. It worked in a Dell R820 daughter card, all of my PCIe NICs, and a Mikrotik RB5009. At $14.09 this transceiver is priced pretty well. Its cheaper than a lot of other brands.

Starting to build out my homelab and grabbed this. It plugs and plays without issue and does exactly what it should. May start getting NIC cards to handle these so I can just swap them out when I get >2 G to the house.

Speeds tests with this and with a normal switchport were very close. Metal well-made lever to remove the module, standard packaging for SFPs. Works in Cisco or at least if you enable non-Cisco SFP which is typical for my applications. If this unit does not work in Cisco it may be errdisable, fix this use no err-disable detect cause gbic-invalid, and service unsupported transceiver. If disabled then shut down and re-enable that interface.

I have a UDM-Pro and use one of the SFP ports for failover if (when...) the Xfinity service goes down. Ive been using a Ubiquiti SFP adapter for about 2 years, but didnt have a backup. This SFP adapter looks nearly identical - the case is indistinguishable, although the exposed circuit board is clearly a little different. This QSFPNESE SFP adapter was recognized instantly by the UDM-Pro. The UniFi software shows the vendor as OEM and the part number as GLC-T-QS (see image). It connects at 1,000 FDX, but I dont have the ability to test beyond my LTE cell phone uplink, which seems to max out at 80Mbps with the poor signal level in the house. This item is a little less expensive than the Ubiquiti adapter, and it also doesnt have Ubiquitis high shipping costs!

I ordered this as I have a cable modem with dual Ethernet outputs, and my Ubiquity UDM-Pro has SFP ports on it. Installing it was a breeze, and then configuring my UDM-Pro to use the SFP slot was also very easy. I ran a speed test of my connection using the standard ethernet port, then switched the cable over to the SFP adapter, and ran the speed test again. I have a 400mb/s connection, and there was no difference in speed between the two ports. I cant test if it truly has 1GB/s speed, but I am confident that it does.

This worked immediately when I plugged it into my Mikrotik hEX S router, giving me an additional usable ethernet port. Checked the interface, and it was auto-negotiated at 1Gbps (max speed on the SFP port of the hEX S). Ran a speed test plugged into this adapter and compared it with plugging directly into one of the existing ethernet ports, and there was no noticeable difference. I have gigabit cable internet, and got a little over 800Mbps download speeds in both tests, which is expected for my setup considering everything else on the network at the time the test was performed.

This is a great value for a copper RJ45 Transceiver running at 1000BASE-T speeds. You cant go wrong with this inexpensive Copper SFP Transceiver.

I have a Cisco 3850 and older switches to use this transceiver on. All of my devices worked just fine with this and didnt need to force compatibility in the config. It just worked out of the box and didnt exhibit any issues from my testing. Worked fine for uplinks and testing on the equipment I needed to work on.

Ive had a QSFPTEK Gigabit SFP RJ45 transceiver in my Ubiquiti EdgeRouter 4 since 2020. Its been problem-free, but Ive had no spare, which bothered me both for outright failure replacement and for debugging. I shut the EdgeRouter down and powered it off, swapped this one of the QSFPTEK that was in it, powered the EdgeRouter 4 back up. As soon as the EdgeRouter 4 was back up, this transceiver was immediately recognized and data started flowing at full-duplex, gigabit speed (its a bridge between two VLANs with different ISPs feeding them). It was identified by the EdgeRouter 4 with a vendor of OEM and a part ID of GLC-T-QS -- the same part ID shown on the label. There were no issues with fit, finish, materials, or workmanship. It seems to be the equal of the QSFPTEK tranceiver it replaced, which has been a fine product. Im leaving this one in place since I want to know if there are any issue before I declare that its the primary and the older one is now the spare. If anything comes up in the near term, Ill try to remember to update this review.

I ordered this for my router. It arrived as described and was recognized as soon as it was plugged in. Im pleased with it and recommend it.
