> 3 dayIt took me about 5 minutes to replace my old worn out hood supports. The most difficult thing was removing the old ones and that wasn’t that hard to d. A small flat blade screwdriver is all you need to pop the little metal clips off. The new ones just snap right on! Easy peasy!

> 3 dayThe metal clips that lock these into place are harder to work with than on any other gas lift struts Ive used before. Ive replaced struts on hoods and tailgates before and never had a problem - until today. Your supposed to just release the metal clip, slip the socket over the ball on the vehicle, and push the clip back into place, right? But these clips wouldnt release properly. One side of the clip would release, but the other side would push into the socket. I mangled two clips trying to release them properly. Fortunately I was able to replace them with clips from the old struts. I finally realized a good method to release the clips - insert needle nose pliers into the socket to prevent the clip from going into the socket, and release the clips from the back with a screwdriver as usual. What a pain. Now that Ive got these installed, I hope they last a very long time, so I never have to do this again.

> 3 dayThese were a perfect replacement part. Easy to install. The dealer wanted over $500 to replace the hood lifters. I am not a mechanic by any stretch. Never worked on my car before. I watched a YouTube video and made the repair. Only took 15 min. and saved me a ton of money. I am thrilled.
