Hi Folks, I was getting neck aches from lack of proper height for the laptop. When using regular pillows, it gets you hot and the MacBook would want to slide and risk damage. So I got the stand and then to avoid the cold hard base, I sewed up a pillow using an old airplane neck pillow filled with buckwheat hulls. The main trick was to make a pocket for the base of the stand and it works great. It stays put even if you move a bit. I will try and sell the idea to Rain Design. Looks sharp and works great. Even better if you are a bit crafty.

Nice design but pads came off almost immediately -- Bootleg? Yes, disappointing that the stand is really solid and nice looking but this simple component--the rubber pads meant to keep your laptop from slipping--came off and theres really no way to keep them adhered.

The stand comes well packaged in a neat, compact and recyclable box, without any unnecessary packaging materials inside such as plastic. The rubber bumpers on both the base and the stand area hold the stand and computer nicely.
