Rain Design 10032 mStand Laptop Stand, Silver (Patented)

Its a bent sheet of aluminum for ~$50. But hey, if you own a Mac, you already paid twice what you would for a comparable PC, so I guess price isnt an issue. It is very nicely finished and fits my ~2012 MBP 15. The little divot in the from lines up with the lid indent. All in, it does exactly what its supposed to do.

Perfect size. Fits snugly on my desk next to my 27 monitor and speakers. Contrary to other reviews it stays perfectly in place and does not rotate unless I move it. BTW, I have a 15 MBP (early 2011) mode.

I purchased this recently because I needed a good laptop stand for my office. I have a stand that was made by a different manufacturer in my home office. Recent reviews of that product complained of slippage (which I have not experienced over the years), but I am not willing to take the chance with my work laptop. I liked the look and the lip in front that would prevent any slipping. I have a 15 Macbook Pro, and this thing fits like a glove.

I debated quite a while before making this purchase- did I really need it and maybe I should go with a less expensive competitor? Glad I pulled the trigger on this one! Way more useful and eases the long work hours- dont know what youre missing until you dont have it. Looks good on the desk, matches all of other aluminum Apple products, and is extremely sturdy. Dont fear my $3k MBP sitting up on it at all. Also works well and brings screen height of the laptop to the same level as external monitors.

Stable and sturdy. Love the rotating feature. I have a 17 inch MacBook Pro and it fits perfectly!

I love this stand! I makes it so I can sit up straight at my desk, and the angle is perfect for typing without getting wrist cramps. It leaves room for my drawing tablet to be used in front of it, and the construction is very sturdy and attractive. I am really glad that I bought this stand, it was a very addition to my desk.

This was recommended to me and I was mostly hoping it would just keep things more organized on my desk. But it also is a perfect height and really does make using the laptop monitor much easier as it is now at my eye level. I would recommend this to others who use their laptop monitor as this makes it more comfortable to use.

Much like the mighty cedar, the Rain Design mStand Laptop Stands existence is sound and unrelenting. Since these are designed for macs, I was worried the mStand might be a bit racist towards my Dell XPS13 but so far so good.
