Awesome laptop stand. Matches my macbook perfectly and its the perfect height.

Its sturdy and got a nice design, a bit pricey tho for a piece of metal.

This is my second purchase of this product. I recently got an office outside the house and since I already have one of these in my home office and love it, I purchased a second one for the office outside the house. This stand is super sturdy and the rubber pads on the stand hold the laptop up a couple millimeters to help with airflow/cooling and they grip the laptop very well as Ive never had any problems of it sliding around while on the stand. It holds the laptop at a nice angle and up several inches. I really like that I dont have to worry about spilling a drink on the desk and having it get into the laptop. The way I use it, I have my MacBook Pro open alongside another 30 monitor for dual screen computing goodness. And, while sitting on the stand, the screen on my laptop sits right about in the middle (height-wise) of the other monitors screen so they line up nicely.

I bought this because of the good reviews and was quite pleased when I got it. It is sturdy, attractive, supports my MacBook Pro nicely, and rotates easily. The problem came after using it for a few weeks on top of a dining room table. The starting height on that table was 30 and the stand raises the bottom of the viewing screen another 7. That turned out to be enough to give me headaches that started at the base of the skull in the back. I evaluated my neck posture (Im a Physical Therapist) and noticed that the likely cause of the headaches was that I had gotten into what we call a forward head posture due the the height of the viewing screen. If your work surface is high to begin with, please be aware that this can get you into neck posture trouble and lead to headaches. I chose to stop using the stand and stay at that table and the headaches subsided. If you are working at a lower table height, you will likely have no problems with this stand.

I moved from the Griffin Elevator which is was also really, nice but I think the mStand, offers superior elegance, and make my macbook pro looks even more elegant!
