Ranger EMP20653 Inkssentials Embossing Pens, 2-Pack, Black and Clear

This was just perfect for what I wanted

I do like the pen, and it works for the most part, but the ink does dry fairly quickly, so you can only do small parts at a time and be ready with the embossing powder and heat gun. Otherwise, the powder wont stick appropriately. I have used this successfully, but I dont love it because of the drying problem.

These pens are great! The embossing powder sticks to it wonderfully. I do scrapbooking and it works perfectly for caligraphy writing/embossing. I also used it to fill in the areas where my stamp pad missed. These pens are a must have for anyone who likes to emboss!

I have nothing to compare this to because it is my first time doing foil embossing but wow! This seems like a great pen for any beginner, but as high quality as it is, great for very experienced people as well. The black pen is definitely not good to use with a light colored embossing powder, so I was so happy I had the two pack that included the clear as well. I have done the “Mrs” on about 20 invitations so far and the pen doesn’t seem anywhere close to drying out which it great! Such a great price for how long it goes on my opinion. Really takes a project (like an invite) to the next level!

Unfortunately the clear pen came dried out but a little embossing ink pad renewer added to the barrel did the trick. Ive never had a problem with any of the other ranger products Ive gotten so im hoping it was just a fluke.

This is the only type of embossing pen I have used, but I really like it - its easy to use for hand-lettering projects.

I work at a school so these pens came in handy ! The wrote nice and even ! My students enjoyed using them as well. The smell is not bad also.

These are easy to use and stay wet just the right amount of time!

For the most part, they work great! However, Im having problems with the clear pen not being inky enough to really catch all the powder. Im not sure if its just a matter of my surface still having too much static despite the use of my static pouch, but the black ink works a lot better for me.
