Ranger EMP20653 Inkssentials Embossing Pens, 2-Pack, Black and Clear

I absolutely LOVE the Ranger embossing pen. If you are a newbie and want some nice starter embossing pens- this is the way to go. Especially at a price like this, its hard to beat. This is personally the first time I have ever used a black embossing pen and I LOVE this way more than the clear. I can actually see what I am writing and see where all the letterings are. It helps me get my craft projects done easier and quicker.

These are great! I use them for card making to use with my own writing and then emboss it. Turns out great and adds a personal touch to the heat embossing. Its also great for those missed spots where the powder didnt take to touch it up. Highly recommended for the price.

Ive only used the clear one so far (or is it white?!), but it is definitely Ranger quality! I bought these to use in my Cricut Explore Air and it fits perfectly! The ink is wet enough for long enough to get the item cut and the ink to get embossing powder on it after it comes out of the machine.

These are amazing! What ever you write or doodle stays moist enough to get a good embossing powder coat on it without it drying. It embossed so nice.

These pens are great! I like that the pack includes a clear and a black pen. The first set I received had a dried out black marker but Amazon remedied the issue right away. I love being able to emboss things that I write/draw.

Works as expected

I will say the product is inexpensive and easy to use. However, even after following all the rules of embossing ie. tapping off excess, using a pointed tip and firmly, brushing off the excess from the item youre embossing and knowing that a single particle of loose power will melt into a mini blob once embossed, the finish was anything but clean. The finish was either barely there or sloppy. (Note the pic.) I found the tips to dry out quickly and I am returning. However, per Amazon I can only exchange for the exact item or one that is not identical. So I cannot even try a different product unless I just return and completely order a different brand. I just want a brand that works. I’m not sure who I’m more frustrated at: the product or Amazons exchange policy. I opted to hope that the item I received was defective and replace it with a new one. I’ll keep you posted.

This was my first embossing project, which was a glass Christmas ornament to commemorate my daughters first Christmas. I wrote her name and the year on one side with the embossing pens, and had her handprint on the other side. Both pens worked very well - I bought them for the clear, but ended up liking the black one better as once the purple embossing powder was put on, it didnt look black at all and made the purple pop a bit more.

Initially did not like it as one of the pens were broke. I ended up returning it but manufacturer was nice enough to let me keep it and gave me a new set. Loving the quality so far. Tips are nice and fine for the detailed embossing you may need these for. They stay moist for a good amount of time and not dry out right away before you can even put the embossing powder on. I used them both on tiles and paper and they worked wonderfully. Definitely would get them again. Mostly the black, not so much the white.

Great for embossing journals or notebooks with names or initials. Easy as writing, powdering, heating and done.
