Unlike many educational computer programs, this one is actually fun! You need to read and think carefully to find the clues to rescue the poor citizens who have been turned into appliances by the mad Dr Dabble. Along the way you practice reading skills such as parts of speech, word association and sequencing. If only all lessons were this much fun a lot more kids would beg to go to school.

English class made more sense due to this game, and its still my favorite game to play as an adult. I highly recommend this to parents and teachers who want their kids to understand the complications of English.

I choose this CD because it works. Children love the many activities which are presented in game like mode. It proves that reading can be FUN. Children can work independently and there is quick feedback as to progress and areas of concern. Ages 7-12

Even though the Amazon description of the software list that its mac compatible, its actually only xp and vista compatible. I was only able to use it on my mac, because I had vista loaded on my mac via bootcamp. Be careful you have the required system before you buy.

Game is very frustrating for my child some of the activities are almost impossible to do even when you know what to do. Definitely a disappointment/

I bought this for my son who is struggling in reading. This is not a great tool for him. It is good for more advanced readers. Its a CD so the graphics are so-so. I was disappointed

My daughter loves online games and working on missions or solving problems in an interactive setting. That said, she is not comfortable with this one and after giving it a try for about a week, she abandoned it to focus on another online game that was math based.
