Red Eye

I was really impressed with the quality of my used copy of Red Eye. There was absolutely no scratches or glitches on the product whatsoever, and Im thankful for that because although I have ordered movies from Amazon before, I always have my doubts.

I was truly surprised because I have never heard of this film. I decided to rent it after watching Peaky Blinders and so impressed with Cillian Murphys acting. This movie definitely is clever and keeps you on th edge of your seat.

This was a 4 star - up until going into the last 30; where the director sacrificed common sense-for-survival when the heroine raced back up stairs to tackle the killer again - instead of grabbing her dad and racing out the open front door for help; this allowed the heroine to display some more superwoman antics., but made the whole thing a little hockey.

Keeps your attention and is entertaining. Many parts implausible, but nothing inexcusable. Rachael McAdams does a very nice job and makes the movie.

Really well made thriller. Wonderful acting. Perfect short length for the story that’s told here.

Decent plot, with some really good acting. Rachel McAdams is why i enjoy this movie so much...C. Murphy does well at making the audience hate his character (which is the point of the villain imo). I found this movie to be very entertaining and Rachel McAdams has that It factor and I find her very likeable as well as pretty.

For starters, Im a huge Cillian Murphy fan. He loves his craft and it showes. Secondly, I hate horror, and even thriller, movies... I generally cant handle them. THIS though! This is a beautiful movie. Its intense, (not overly gory though. If its not labeled suspense as well, then it should be.) but the storyline is strong and the characters compelling. Both of the leads put on incredible performances, and the plot is believable enough to be credible yet outlying enough to be surprising. Id also note for those interested in such things that the female lead feels neither girl power - extreme-feminist; nor damsel in distress. Its an every day hero that I can get behind on her own merit, unsullied by any agenda.

I enjoyed watching Cillian Murphy play his villain sweet, then persistent and scary. Who knew what a nice snack at the airport could lead to? Rachel McAdamss character reacts pretty believably and intelligently. It was fun (re-)watching this over-the-top movie.

Rachel McAdams is awesome! Id love to see her in more roles like this. I wish I had seen this on the big screen when it came out. Did I just miss it, or did Kyle Gallner not get a credit in this movie? Thats messed up. He was great in VERONICA MARS. Hes currently in INTERROGATION. In every scene with his earpod brother, the eye goes to Kyle Gallner. I wouldnt be able to pick earbud guy out of a lineup.
