I was a bit concerned about compatibility since my sound bar was about 6 years old but it worked perfectly .

My dog destroyed the remote that came with the sound bar almost 2 years ago. Now that she is older, I was ready to have my remote back. I was concerned I might have to do some pairing between the remote and sound bar, but it was seamless. Same remote and functions, its nice to have the power back in my hand.

Received the remote in very timely matter, added batteries and presto it worked. Simple but so very important.
