I was really excited about this mic.. that didn’t last long because it completely stopped working after about 3 hours of normal use. Tested all the normal possibilities. Too much hassle to return.. What a waste of time and money..

This mic is absolutely one of the best mics ever made so buy them when they are available. Ive used just about all the best CB mics ever made including the Astatic 575-M6 and this mic is one of my favorites. Sure, this mic can make a lot of different noise toy type sounds and they can be fun to play with but when you want to be serious, put the echo and delay settings just under setting 2 on the mic for both echo and delay and you will get excellent reports because of the great echo reverb stadium tone this mic produces. You will get studio quality audio when properly adjusted. As far as using it on different radios, you might have to re-wire the mic if you have a radio using microphones that arent wired like the Cobra/Galaxy radios. If you can solder, you can lookup the mic wiring charts on CBTricks.com and reconfigure the mic wiring for your radio. If youre not good at soldering you can also buy a microphone adapters to convert the 4 pin Cobra plug to say a 5 or 6 pin configuration for whatever radio you have. How much do I love this mic? A year or two ago I thought this mic was being discontinued so I bought 4 spares for future use. Now that Im seeing them coming back in stock I might have to buy a couple more. To the people complaining about mic squeal, this has happened with many mics with a well tuned radio. To get rid of mic squeal talk into this mic further away from the radio than you normally do or move the radio further away from where youre sitting. This isnt a big deal considering the benefits you get from this mic and your radio buddies will send you flowers. Buy this mic when they are available because RF Limited hasnt been very good at keeping inventory in stock ever Sam Lewis died and RF Limited stopped making the very popular Magnum radios. I order this to use on a cobra 138 after my Connex stopped working. It’s worked fine according to my Flag cars , only had a few hours of service, so really don’t know how well it will fair over time

Love this microphone. I have several for my base station and everyone tells me I never sounded so good on both AM and SSB. Talk back works great on my old Uniden Grant. Controls are easy to bump but other than that the sound quality is second to none as far as anything in production. The EC2018 is the best you can do unless you get a studio mic and processor. 79 in PA

Advanced soundsxfeatures built in . Cleanest tone upon talking. This miv. Not avalible commonly at off/on line shops. Thrusting sound and modulation. Blow away the neighbors on there old 23s. Old $ new Uniden, Cobra, Galaxy.

Doesn’t work on all my radios; squeals when keyed up. The only one it works on is a Corbra with a mic gain option, and the MG can be set to no more than 2. The dials on the radio can also be only set to 2; echo volume and delay.
