Rit Dye Liquid Fabric Dye, 8-Ounce, Violet

when the dye dyes the shirt OH MY GOD

I used the washer method, let it sit in hot water in the soak cycle, but it completely washed out in the cold rinse even with a bunch of salt in the water! Was it me?

Worked great. Just dont forget to use Rit Fixative with Rit dye. Color is holding super strong. If you dont use the fixative it tends to wash out. Just a matter of using it correctly. I did 1/4 cup to 3 gallons of super hot water (tap) for 20min stirring constantly in a 5 gallon bucket. Then take 4tbs of Rit color fixative to 3 gallons of super hot water. You can ring out the clothes but do not rinse until fixative is used. Stir in Fixative for 20 min (total time 40min for color plus fixative). Came out great, no color runs or fading. Used on 100% cotton.

Did not seem anything like Rit Dye I buy in the store - Ive been using Rit Dye for over 20 years - the first half of the bottle was very, very watery. The dye did work, but I definitely felt that half the bottle had been replaced with water.

The color of this was not what I thought it would look based off the label. Its got a little too much violet in it!

When I dye my clothes people usually ask me where I bought that particular article. Its nice to make an old blouse looks new. It saves me money too.

I used it for dying my daughters stained clothes. It came out really nice!

I had a black and white shirt and a pale pink shirt that I dyed with this product. I LOVE the color of these shirts now, and wear them all the time. Before, they just sat in the closet. As this is liquid dye, it is REALLY easy to use. Wonderful results, wonderful color. :)
