I have at least three other Royal Kludge keyboards, and love them to death, but this one seems to be a step down in build quality. Thats okay, cuz it was a bit cheaper than my other purchases, and is quite a bargain for an entry level mechanical keyboard... which is all I was looking for.

Its a quality piece of kit. Id definitely recommend it to anyone looking for a good keyboard, and not pay an arm and a leg. This reminds me of my old beloved IBM model M as far as the feel of the keys, and they are spaced perfectly for someone like me who likes to fat-finger their keyboard.

cheap keyboard but good to use and fun at the same time. Cheap feeling keys are the main dislike of the keyboard but otherwise a good keyboard. I let my wife use if for work and shes in love with the thing.

I love this keyboard i customized it slightly adding new keycaps and o-rings. However there are some issues with it. Starting off as a big issue, the switches are very scratchy and pingy due to the springs and the tactile bump. the bump is nearly unnoticeable sometimes depending how fast you type. Next issue is that the rgb backlighting on the rim is nearly impossible to change with the software, you have to do a dance to get the rim to change static color. Another issue is the fact that you CANNOT use the flip up stands as they are so flimsy and will pop out of place almost every time you try. I bought two one a red linear and one a brown tactile, both had the same issues.

Gorgeous keyboard. The lighting features are awesome. Its wired so you dont have to worry about charging it. The keys are comfortable and slightly louder than your run of the mill normal keyboard. I found that it was slightly wobbly laying flat but if you use those little kickstands on the bottom it doesnt budge. You can swap the keycaps. Its got a premium feel, its not a lightweight cheap piece of plastic. Instructional manual is easy to understand. Im no expert in mechanical keyboards but at this price it seems like a great value for the money. I think this keyboard is perfect for people who want to dive into the world of mech keyboards without paying hundreds of dollars and for people who want to add a beautiful lighting/color accent to their desk. I dont have any gripes but if something arises Ill update my post. As of now I am very, very happy with it. 10/10

I had bought a 60% keyboard and loved it (another RK Royal Kludge product) but realized how much I missed directional buttons, function keys and a number pad. I figured that since I loved my other RK Royal Kludge keyboard Id give this a try. Out of the box, my first impression was, Wow, this feels cheap compared to the other keyboard. The other keyboard has an aluminum frame, where this is surrounded by LEDs. Theyre bright, dont get me wrong but the frame doesnt feel nearly as premium. The buttons feel very clacky which the other RK Kludge keyboard didnt have, even for brown switches. It wasnt easily noted what type of switches it used, so color me surprised when I found out these were nondescript RK switches. Not sure if this will matter to you but the cord is attached to the keyboard. This is it for the cons. The mixed bag portion: While I love having function keys, directional buttons and a number pad back, I forgot why I gave it up in the first place. While gaming, my mouse has to sit much further out than my arm is comfortable with. Imagine a splayed out configuration which is awkward for long gaming sessions. This isnt the fault of the keyboard as all full size keyboards will be like this. Things I liked: The keyboard is crazy bright, and the floating keys along with the LED rimming the keyboard frame means your keyboard will dazzle you in a darkened room. Overall, I liked it okay, but realized I needed more space to move the mouse around. Its absolutely worth the price, especially if this is your first foray into the mechanical keyboard world.

So, I am not a gamer to begin. I am a teacher who happens to love bright colors and clicky-clacky keyboards to type on. I learned from the best-- my 8th grade students. They told me exactly what keyboard to get and I truly love it. It is the best! The colors are bright and it is easy to type on. It has the best click-clack type feeling!! I love this keyboard. It makes me want to get my work done because of the feel and sound of the keys are so satisfying!! I highly encourage you to purchase one of these keyboards if you want something like this! Great, solid keyboard!

Honestly, I bought this keyboard so I could be extra in my office. I tried four different keyboards before settling on this one. It is good for touch-typing and is quiet enough for where I work (though not completely silent). I prefer blue switches for gaming (specifically my Logitech G710+) but I would definitely recommend this for gaming if you want something inexpensive! The many different RGB options are super fun and Im blown away by how good of a value this keyboard is between the switches, layout, and RGB. The keycaps are swappable, too.

I bought this for work, not so much for gaming and I have been getting nothing but great compliments about it. I love it!!!
