I ordered this jelly roll for a jelly roll race quilt top for my teenage son. I plan to cap each strip with a 2 1/2 block of black & white patterned fabric rather than the traditional diagonal seam. I think this might make the quilt a little more masculine for my guy. The fabric is beautiful Kona cotton, expertly and accurately cut. The colors are saturated and vivid. They are darker than what the picture shows. As a prime customer I was able to purchase this jelly roll at a great price and had it shipped in two days for free! You just cant beat that!

I bought this to make a quilt for my grandson who did not want any prints. Although I do not like plain materiel for quilts, this is turning out pretty nice. I love the colors and the pattern I chose mixes them up so I have some pretty colorful blocks. The material is a very nice quality!!

Gorgeous colors and its making a beautiful quilt! However, the edges are NOT PINKED as in the picture, and the edges are shredding like crazy with minimal handling and even getting stuck in my bobbin case, not to mention peaking out to the front of the quilt top between the seams. Huge pain in the butt to sew with. I would not purchase again unless it was in person to ensure I got a roll with correctly pinked cuts.

Im having a wonderful time using these for making throw pillows I need for staging our house when we put it on the market. Ive been collecting the ends of fat bundles I used for making table napkins, and now Im combining those with these strips in all sorts of geometric patterns(wish I had an easily accessible photo - because theyre great). I like the darker colors, as they show off the fabrics I have quite well. I use them in combination with snow white - a creamier white than optic white, and everything melds together beautifully, leaving a softer edge from one color to the next. I use a sturdy white cotton fabric used for backing quilts as a base, and machine stitch the strips to that. I like the feel of the fabric, the easy of handling and sewing, and how nice they look in the finished product. Ive had a lot of fun playing with combining color, fabric patterns, and geometric patterns. Its amazing how swapping out one color for another with hues that are so close together on the wheel can make things look so different.

I plan to make small quilts for project Linus. So, I go through lots of different pieces of fabric. These Jelly Rolls from MODA are perfect and I wish I could do this justice with my words. The Robert Kaufman New Dark and the New Dusty jelly rolls are absolutely beautiful.
