> 24 hourGreat book full of useful knowledge. The author’s style and goofy jokes helped me retain the information being communicated.

> 24 hourThis is in my opinion the best textbook for private pilot. I just got a 93% on the PPL written. Rod goes into way more detail than say the Jeppesen books, which is great because even if you only retain some of it, you still have more than enough knowledge to be a safe pilot.

> 24 hourThe book came in good condition. There was no rips, tears, or ink issues. It looked basically brand new. I am glad I bought my book from here with such a fair price.

> 24 hourThere is a lot of helpful instruction in this book. But Machados lame, tiresome, sophomoric humor is so annoying, so every-page persistent, as to make this book, despite its quality content, all but unreadable. If there ever was a writer who thinks hes funny and isnt, Machado is the one. Youre a captive audience for this failed class clown. He inflicts his stupid jokes on you constantly, and there is nothing you can do to escape them. You cant stop reading, and he cant stop making a fool of himself.

> 24 hourOnly a few days into it, but it meets the expectations of the CFI who recommended it. So far it’s very thorough, yet is presented well for us newbies who aren’t yet pilots.

> 24 hourThis book, the PHAK, and the Jeppesen text are all fine to do a memorize and go for tests, but if you really want to understand finer points of theory/why and applicable/what to do, this is the better text of the three. I enjoy the cheesy humor which can put some people off, but even if you removed that, this test is more cohesively and logically written--there is a person trying to teach you.

> 24 hourMy 16 year old son was taking an online flight academy and was getting no where fast. I purchased this book after reading the reviews, and he absolutely loves it. Yes, the humor is a bit much sometimes but it holds his attention and he is making substantial progress now. I HIGHLY recommend that you order the audio files to go along with the book. The audio/book combination is working wonders for my son, and his practice test scores are proof. Beyond that, he can explain back to me the concepts that he is learning.
