I plan to use these as an improvisational alarm system. They are loud enough, and with a little ingenuity, these things can be strung here and there, causing a chain of alarms to go off. And, with a bit more cleverness, make turning them off nigh on impossible. Remember Home Alone? Well, I was like that. Now I am worse. :)

Its loud....just pull a pin and it alerts the whole area,replace the pin it stops. Small,loud,easy to use....I will order some more

Love them. I kept one and gave the others to my nieces and sister. Yep, the are loud, plus the light.

Bought these twice. I share them with women at my job to stay safe in their travels. Sound is extremely loud! Only down side is the chain is cheap and may break off from the unit. I suggest looping the material pull handle through the key ring so it does not get lost if its pulled. Colors vary. I believe that despite the keychain being flimsy, these are well worth the money. A few women were carrying whistles but if someone grabs you and covers your mouth..??? I carry this in my hand so if I sense danger, this baby is ready to go!!!

One of the alarms was a dud,, it does not work it has just a low key hum. Thats my only negative, which Im not that happy about. Its lightweight with nice colors. The light is nice and bright for such a small light. I feel a little safer having it. But my hope is that I never have to use it.
