    Greater than one week

    The water supply for my irrigation system here in FL is from a well and the Rusco 140 spin down filter keeps the sediment out of my irrigation system, control valves, etc. Im surprised at how much sediment, sand etc. it catches on a weekly basis. and I always keep a spare filter just in case. Depending on your well one should inspect and clean the filter every few weeks.

    I had a 60 mesh filter and the sprinkler valves were not shutting off given some grit. Going to this filter solved the issue!

    Fit perfectly in my existing 1.5 inch spin down housing. Better than original as the mesh is on outside of filter rather than the inside making cleaning so much easier and effective. Also has greater surface area for filtering sediment.
