Greater than one weekI used this product several years ago, when it first came on the market. It worked very well then. I never had rust bleed through the paint. I always covered it with an oil based primer before covering with a finish coat of paint. With my last purchase I used this product in the same way as I did previously, however rust has bled through the final coating after a few weeks. I wonder, did Loctite change their formula?

> 3 dayThis coating worked well on a metal roof, to stop rust, seal it, and permit re-painting. Also works to stop rust and seal a dishwasher rack, to prevent further rusting. Update: Two years later, no more rust!

Greater than one weekThis stuff will protect and transform the appearance of your rusty wrought iron and cast iron furniture and accessories with very little work. A light wire brushing (you need to leave some light rust) and two coats of this will turn rusty looking old junk into a nice looking, clean, preserved antique. Good for old cars too, so I hear.

> 3 dayIve used this product for years, and it still works great. Ive applied it to rusting out truck floorboards and when dried have applied fiberglass to repair the holes... worked great! Makes a great surface to paint over and does a great job of stopping rust in its tracks. Easy to apply. Ill be buying more!

Greater than one weekThis is a great product that actually works. I have been using it on my boat trailer for about four (4) years with excellent results. Just knock off any loose corrosion and brush this on. It turns black or dries in about 20 min then paint it your favorite color to match the rest of your gear. Rust-Oleum 7213830 Hammered Metal Finish Spray, Silver if you have a galvanized trailer.
